Life in February

Our last overnight guests, my parents, left yesterday morning. The futon is stored away and the moving boxes are getting assembled. The biggest saving grace around here? The fact that due to the lack of storage in our little condo, I don't have any junk to paw through!! Every month for the last five years, I've taken 1-2 paper bags of items to the Thrift Store. There will be some sorting to do- mostly kids' clothing and books, but otherwise, that's it:-) In the meantime, we decided to procrastinate another day and make Valentine cookies instead. Yummy, goopy sugar cookies... and memories...

Guess which one 'camps' in the box with pillows and books? and which one is yelling to get out? My heart melts;-)

Happy 5th Birthday

Russell turned five years old on Monday, but we had his party on Sunday evening with a few of his friends and some of ours. He's still at the age where I don't want six little boys dropped off for too long, so the whole families were invited. It was a cozy evening in our apartment with everyone and my parents in town to visit, but it was a great time to be had. It was a 'Lego' party- complete with a lemon/curd cake and multiple Lego-set gifts.

Happy 5th birthday, son! We are so proud of you and we hope that you'll grow to love and serve Christ as you learn more about Him:-)
